Holliston-

Harold L. Smith, 76, of Holliston died peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 10, 2007. Born in Ipswich, he was the son of the late Cecilia (Lee) and Harold L. Smith Sr.. He was the husband of Paula V. Smith of Holliston for the past 54 years.

A 52 year resident of Holliston, Harold was a Veteran of the Army, he had received a Purple Heart during the Korean War and was a member of the Holliston American Legion and VFW. After 40 years with Boston Edison, he retired as a Leader Lineman in 1992. “Smitty” an avid Red Sox, Patriots fan and devoted family man, He enjoyed to cook for his family, with much delight to his wife. He also enjoyed his handy man toys and puttering around the house. Dying with no regrets, Harold had also enjoyed spending time in Maine for the past 19 years and his dog Andre.

Besides his wife Paula, He is Survived by 2 sons; Scott L. Smith and his wife Jayne Girodat of Beverly and Brian T. Smith and his wife Lisa of Upton. 3 grandchildren Kendall, Samantha, and Tyler Smith.
