St. Petersburg, FL – Grace M. (Hendrick) Presswood, 72, of St. Petersburg, FL and formerly of Holliston, MA and Hyannis, MA died Sunday, October 10, 2004 surrounded by her family, at the Windsor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Grace E. (Brennan) Hendrick.
She was a 1952 graduate of Massachuesetts General Hospital School of Nursing. She served with the U. S. Navy as a nurse from 1958 through 1961. She was a graduate of Framingham State College with a degree in immunology.
She was the wife of the late Stanley C. Presswood of Holliston, MA.
She is survived by her two sons, Keith Presswood and his wife Denise of South Dennis, MA, with whom she lived, and Lloyd Presswood and his wife Lynn of Medway, MA and two daughters, Mary Jones and her husband Jeff of Derry, NH, and Teresa Presswood of Hopkinton, MA; 6 grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
She was the sister of Elizabeth Hendrick, Barbara Hugus and the late Arthur Hendrick and Eleanor Bulman.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston, will be Tuesday, October, 12 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
