Holliston-

Gloria J. Sullivan, 93, of Holliston, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018. Born in Ludlow, she was the daughter of the late Celina (Parent) and Arthur Coderre. She was the wife of the late John Edward Sullivan.

In her younger years, Gloria worked as an obstetrical nurse at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Prospect St. Manor in Cambridge, and St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. After retiring from nursing, she worked at Jo Ann Fabrics and taught quilting in her home. She was a former member of St. John’s Church in Cambridge, where she was the choir director and organist. She enjoyed playing the piano, knitting, sewing, crocheting, puzzles, gardening and her pets. She loved her Red Sox and especially loved watching golf and learning about basketball from her grandson, Andrew . She was an avid pet lover of her family dogs, Brady and Jackson .

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa M. Bonzey of Holliston and Patricia Cannin; her grandchildren, Christina Bonzey of Millis, Katherine Bonzey O’Brien and her husband, Justin of Winthrop, Benjamin Bonzey and his wife, Courtney of Blackstone, Andrew Bonzey, Alfred Cannin and his wife, Kimberly of Navarre, FL, Michelle Leonard and her husband, Dan of Beachwood, NJ as well as 5 great-grandchildren, Hayden , Madelyn , Frederick , Alexia, and Haley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Framingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to MSPCA.org
