So today is the day of the celebration of your life, and I plan to. You lived every day to the fullest. This morning as I was putting on my shirt I noticed every button has "George" stamped on it. I'm sure you're up there grinning and saying "now you're talkin'"

Loved you more than ever towards the end - you never lost your dignity, you grew in love and humility, you spread peace and joy, all with your own unique brand of humor and heartfelt concern that the people you loved would also discover the Keys to the Kingdom. "Well done, good and faithful servant". See you soon.

I will miss our greeting to each other of "Hey there cheese bag, how ya doing?". You are the only one I ever let call me cheese bag!!! You will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you Karen, and the rest of the family

Oh Georgie...I could write a book. Because it IS all about me. Who now is going to be up for chinese or pizza right after we finish a huge family meal? No one. Who else is going to make me listen to them carry on and on and on about how fabulous they are with the same stories I've heard a million times, yet they still remain interesting? No one. Who else is going to be as unconditionally loving and generous and patient with me? No one. I promise I won't make you anything else to eat that has cilantro in it if you just come back. (Ok, that's a lie.) I cannot wait to see you again. There is NOT ONE like you! Not one.

My funny, smart, brave friend. I miss you so much already. In my mind I will always see you as "Mr. Adorable", gracefully accepting our accolades that "it is ALL about your George" and your wistful suggestion that maybe someone wanted to go tubing. Reducing my children to breathless laughter behind your boat, enjoying manly man coffee in Tiki heaven and eating wonton soup won't ever be quite the same, but you will be with us, always. You have fought as well as anyone I have ever met. Rest in peace my sweet friend, rest in peace.
