STRONACH, George E., 94 of Holliston, MA., formerly of Wethersfield
and Simsbury, CT., died Nov. 23, 2008. He was the beloved husband of the late Bethany (Hagood) Stronach.
He is the loving father of Beth Villa and her husband Frank of MA.,
devoted brother of Barbara Hiegel of FL., cherished grandfather of Sarah
Villa of MA. and Sellina Kaylor and her husband Chuck of MD. Dear great
grandfather of Will and Eden Kaylor of MD. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He attended Northeastern University and was U.S. Marine Master Sergeant
specializing in radar in WWII. He had a life-long interest in electricity and worked in the equipment testing lab at Northeast Utilities in Hartford, CT. His hobbies included amateur radio-W1VLK; photography; and astronomy, for which he ground his own telescope mirrors. He enjoyed many years of retirement in Fort Myers Beach, FL., before moving to Holliston in 1999.
A graveside service will be held Sat. May 23, 2009 at 2PM at the Village
Cemetery in Wethersfield, CT.

George E. Stronach, 94, of Holliston, and formerly of Ft. Myers Beach, FL and CT, died Sunday, November 23, 2008. Born in Hartford, CT., he was the son of the late Alec G. and Alice (Kunkel) Stronach. He was the husband of the late Bethany H. (Hagood) Stronach.
A 9 year resident of Holliston, he was a member of the F.I.S.T. Amateur Radio Club and the A.A.R.C. (Amateur Radio Relay League). He worked at Hartford Electric Light for 25 plus years retiring in 1975. He retired to FT. Myers Beach, FL.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Bethany Villa and her husband Frank of Holliston, 1 sister Barbara Hiegel of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 2 grandchildren, Sellina Kaylor and her husband Chuck of Maryland, Sarah Villa of Wellesley, 2 great-grandchildren Will and Eden Kaylor, and 2 nieces and 1 nephew. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Metrowest HomeCare and Hospice 85 Lincoln St. Framingham, MA 01702.
