Holliston – George C. Flansburg, 74, of currently of Framingham died unexpectedly Saturday, June 4th, 2005 at the Metrowest Medical Center of Framingham

Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Martha (Currie) and John V. Flansburg. HE was also the husband of the late Jane N. Flansburg who passed away in July of 2002.

A Navy Veteran in the Korean war George was a Holliston Resident for more than 40 years and recently moved to Framingham for the past couple of years. He had Worked for New England Telephone for more than 35 years. George was also a past member of the Holliston Sportsman Association.

He is survived by his 3 sons, George B. Flansburg and his wife Mary of Holliston, John E. Flansburg and his wife Teresa of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas H. Flansburg of Portsmouth, NH; a daughter Joanna Poland of Maine; a brother John Thomas Flansburg and his wife Janett of Framingham; a sister Joyce Flansburg of Hudson; and 4 grandchildren Alexis, Rocio, Edward, and Jessica

Visitation hours will take place on Thursday June 9, 2005 from 5 to 8:00 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St.(Rt. 16) Holliston. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday June 10, 2005 at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston at 10:00 am. Burial Will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Holliston
