Holliston-

Florence “Elizabeth” (Volpi) Wolters, 57, of Holliston, died Thursday August 21, 2003 at Mass General Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of William F. Wolters for 36 years.

Mrs. Wolters was a longtime resident of Holliston and a 1965 graduate of Mount Ida College. She was an exceptional athlete, artist and mother. Her greatest joy was the love of her family. She enjoyed athletic endeavors of her children, watching baseball with her husband and spending time with her grandchild.

She is survived by her husband William, her children, Kristen Wolters-Mahoney, Ray Wolters, Katie Wolters, Kara Wolters, and her grandchild Dylan Mahoney. She was the sister of Pat Norton of Waterford, CT and Christine Small of Pensecola, FL. She also leaves behind her father Raymond T. Volpi, formerly of Deerfield Beach, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitations hours will be on Sunday, August 24, 2003 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., (Rt 16), Holliston. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday August 25, 2003, at 10:00 am from Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
