Everett C. “Ted” Blois, Jr., 79, of Holliston, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at home after a battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lorraine Whitney Blois.

Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Everett C. Blois, Sr. and Lillian Inez (Beals) Blois.

Ted was a Holliston resident since 1964. He graduated from Framingham High School, Class of 1952. Although he studied Geology at BU he became an accountant in his early working years. He retired from Engelhard as a Maintenance Planner. Ted was very active at church as a Sunday School teacher, Director of the Sunday School, leader of the youth group, as well as a member of the property committee for many years. Following his retirement, Ted worked at Shaw’s and loved his time as sexton at the First Congregational Church of Holliston.

Ted enjoyed playing volleyball on Monday nights at church and working around the yard and doing woodworking projects.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation Tuesday, November 13 at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Holliston, at 10:00a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:30. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston.

Besides his wife, Ted is survived by two sons, Scott A. Blois and his wife, Hui Yun of Quincy and Douglas W. Blois and his wife, Debra of Holliston; five granddaughters, Amy, Holly and Julie of Quincy and Caitlin and Sarah of Holliston.
