Evelyn V. Long, 81, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003 at the MetroWest Medical
Center in Framingham.
Ms. Long was born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Ormand and Caroline (Comey) Long.
She was raised in Waltham and lived in Holliston for many years. Upon her retirement she resided in Framingham and was a resident of Oak Knoll for the past four years.
She attended Tremont Temple in Boston, was an avid reader, enjoyed her hobbies, the outdoors and loved to take long walks.
She was the mother of Frances Teter and Evelyn Morawiec of Milford, Carolyn Flaherty of Revere, Fred Latown of Attleboro, grandmother of ten and great grandmother of twelve. Ms. Long was the eldest of ten and is survived by her four sisters; Bethel Glascock of Millis, Edith Demery of Dedham, Eleanor Massie of Westford, Becky Long of Arizona and four brothers; Arthur Long of Holliston, Richard Long of Rochester, NY, Charles Long of Pocasset, Bruce Long of Medway. She was the sister of the late
David Long of Wareham.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Jan. 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston. The Rev. Ernest Batten will officiate. Burial
will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
