Estella Anne Empey (Hall) was born in Berlin NH September 22, 1922. Daughter of John Dunbar Hall of Scotland and Helen Mosso of Berlin NH. She was married to her beloved Francis C Empey for 44 years until his death in 1989. Her eldest son John H. Empey died in 2008. Estella is survived by her children, Ernest C. Empey of Sherborn, Frances A. Adams of Sherborn, Peter W. Empey of Parsons Field ME and Susan A. Empey of Sherborn. Estella adored her grandchildren: Evan C. Empey of South Boston, Chad T. Empey of Hopkinton, Tyler Empey of Plymouth and Kayla A. Empey of Sherborn, and her great grandchild ,Liam Francis Empey of Hopkinton.

Estella played an important part in the upbringing of her seven nieces and nephews. She was per-deceased by Francis and Malcolm Empey, survived by Barbara Pratt of Cape Cod, James Empey of Rochester NY, Betty Jean Kennedy of Martha’s Vineyard, Myles Empey of NH and Karen Hannigan of Martha’s Vineyard.

The memorial service will be held at Pilgrim Church in Sherborn on Sept 22nd at 2 pm. It is located at 25 South Main Street.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to either the Sherborn Library, 4 Sanger Street Sherborn, MA 01770 where Estella worked for 30 years, or to Partners Hospice, 281 Winter Street, Waltham, MA 02451 who took such loving care of Estella during her final days.
