Emory Douglas Payne, 74, of Holliston, passed away at the Brockton VA Hospital, after a valiant battle with Glioblastoma. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Pearl (Ames) and Emory Payne. He was the loving husband of 30 years to Jane Ann (Morgan) Payne of Holliston. 

Emory was a lifelong Holliston resident. He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam war era. He enjoyed fishing and had a love for cats later in life. He took pleasure in playing softball and played up until 6 weeks before his passing. He was involved in a trial at Dana Farber for Glioblastoma. He enjoyed time spent at his house in Maine that he had with his father. 

Funeral services are being held privately and are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
