Elsa Joan Migliorelli Montella passed away on October 10, 2022,  surrounded by family in Sherborn, Massachusetts. She was born on September 27, 1933 in San Giorgio a Lire Italy.

Elsa moved with her family to Brooklyn, New York at the age of 14. She attended Prospect High School and furthered her education years later at Queens College and Hofstra University. Elsa obtained master’s degrees in elementary education, learning, disabilities and reading. She was a teacher in the Inwood school district. Elsa loved to travel and took trips all over the world. She also enjoyed watercolor painting and gardening. Elsa cooked great Italian meals for her family and made the best meatballs ever!

Elsa is survived by her brother, George (Valeria) Migliorelli; her children, Elizabeth (Brian) Mott, Louis (Kim), and David (Renee) Montella; her grandchildren, Michael (Brie), Sam, Tim, Matthew, Jonathan, Meredith, Thomas Montella, and Christiana Mott (Michael) Anvelt; her nephew, Emilio Migliorelli and great-grandson, Jameson Montella.

A memorial service will be held for Elsa at a later date. Donations can be made to Good Shepard Community Care via gscommunitycare.org. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
