Holliston – Ellen M. (Hanley) Hartnett, 90, of Holliston, MA, daughter, wife,
mother and friend to all died peacefully after a short illness at Metrowest
Medical Center in Framingham, February 2, 2005.
Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Holton)
Hanley, wife of the late Eugene H. Hartnett, mother of E. Diane Hartnett
Hawkes of Sunnyvale, CA, Mary Ann Hartnett of Brookline, MA, and Robert
E. Hartnett of Holliston, MA, grandmother of William H. Hawkes of
Sunnyvale, CA., Christine Ellen Hartnett-Barraz of Austin, Texas, and
Katherine B. Hawkes of Los Angeles, and great grandmother to Diego
Hartnett-Barraz of Austin, Texas. Mrs. Hartnett was a lover of wildlife and
long-time member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society. She generously
supported numerous charities who works focused on helping the sick,
disabled and poor. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Town of Holliston,
Ambulance Fund, 59 Central St., Holliston, MA 01746 may be made in her
memory.
