Hopkinton – Elinor T. Claflin, 90, died Sunday, December 5, 2004 at her home.

She was the wife for 65 years of the late Lawrence A. Claflin who died in January 2002.

Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Patrick H. and Clara A. (Blanchette) Brady.

She was a resident of Hopkinton for 68 years.

Retired from Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham, she loved swimming at Cape Cod, walking in Hopkinton State Park and traveling. During the past three years she was well known for her daily walks around Brampton Circle.

She is survived by her son; Lawrence A. Claflin, Jr. and his wife Louise of Florida, her daughter; Yvonne Powell and her husband William of Ashland, her sister; Mary Bregoli of Natick, her brothers; Charles Brady of Florida and John Brady of Wayland, sister-in-law; Eunice Porter of Upton, 6 grandchildren; Ellen (Powell) Boreson of Hopkinton, Rita (Powell) Colwell of Florida, Leslie (Claflin) DiGenova of New York, William Powell of Marshfield, Deborah (Powell) Renholm of Charlton and Kathy (Claflin) Savini of New York, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton A calling hour will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville.
