Medway-

Elinor M. Sheehan, 88, of Medway and formerly of Holliston, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 21, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Mary V. (Ghelli) and Alfred J. Kairit. She was the wife of the late William F. Sheehan.

Elinor is survived by her children Kathleen Sheehan, Karen Gordon, Jean Sheehan and her companion Steven Tutuny, Joan McLean and her fiance Michael McGillicuddy, Theresa Maguire and her husband Timothy, with whom she lived, and her daughter-in-law Pauline Sheehan. She is predeceased by her son, William Sheehan and her brother Alfred Kairit. She also leaves behind her sisters, Dorothy Mailhiot and her husband, Joseph, Donna Despault and her husband Alan and her sister-in-law, Virginia Kairit.  She will be greatly missed by her twelve beloved grandchildren and nine great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews, all of whom share special loving memories of Mimi from family celebrations to always being present to share in their milestones and successes. Each morning she especially loved spending time viewing pictures and videos of her great grandchildren on her Ipad.  Elinor cherished her lifelong friendships from Holliston, where she grew up and raised her six children. She retired after many years at Corning Medical in Medfield.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 25th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 26th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Flowers are appreciated, or donations will be gratefully accepted to Salmon VNA & Hospice, 37 Birch St, Milford, MA 01757.
