Eleanor L. Hoffses, 90, of West Yarmouth, formerly of Waltham, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Medway Country Manor. Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late May (Baillie) and Ira Betts. She was the wife of 66 years to the late Retired Lt. Robert E. Hoffses (Waltham Fire) who passed in December 2008.

Eleanor had worked at Raytheon in Waltham for 24 years and was a member of the West Yarmouth Newcomers Club and a local bowling league. She enjoyed traveling and had recently lived in Forge Hill Senior Living in Franklin.

She is survived by two children, Roberta McGaffigan and her husband Connie of Holliston and David Hoffses of Georgetown and his former wife Carol. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Kelley Higgins (Dan), Kimberley Marsden (Jay), Brian McGaffigan (Bonnie), Stacie Hoffses, Sarah Logan (Chris); 8 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Danny, Riley, Kendall, Connor, Avery, Brooke, Hunter. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ira Betts, Helene Krol.

Visitation will be held at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. Holliston, on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 10-11 am followed by a service in the funeral home at 11 am. Burial will be Monday December 2, 2013 at 11 am at Bourne National Veteran’s Cemetery with her husband.
