Ashland-

Eleanor “Joyce” DeCristoforo, 75, of Ashland and a former longtime Holliston resident, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her home. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Katherine (Collins) and William S. Lapworth and her step-father, Paul Bidlingmaier. She was the wife of the late Michael DeCristoforo who passed away in 2000.

A graduate from Newbury Jr. College in 1982 at the top of her class, Joyce had worked as a medical assistant for 30 years and most recently had worked for Dr. Brandse in Natick.

She leaves behind her partner Robert Regan of Ashland, her son, John DeCristoforo and his wife Christine of Medway, 3 daughters, Carol Leary and her husband David of Douglas, Joan Rogers and her husband Michael of Bellingham, Jean Petrasek and her husband Emil of Gainsville, GA.; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; her cousin, Katie (Lapworth) Goudreau and her husband Pete as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by two sisters, Kathy Koenig and Linda McGarrity of Philadelphia, and her beloved cat, Harry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston on Friday at 10:30 am.
