Eleanor F. Woodworth, (formerly Sr. Walter-Marie SC) 89, of Limerick, ME. died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley, MA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Elmer C. and the late Camilla T. (O’Neill) Woodworth, sister of the late Walter C. Woodworth of Holliston, MA. and the late Rita Marie Woodworth of Dorchester, MA. She is survived by niece Eleanor Stackpole of Holliston, MA, nephew Lawrence Woodworth of PA, niece Mary Moody of NH and niece Nanci Irving of FL, Grand-nieces and nephews: Jeffrey Stackpole, Ashley and Chelsea Woodworth, Elizabeth and Robert Irving Jr.

During her 28 years as a Sister of Charity of Halifax, Eleanor taught in a number of schools in Montreal, Quebec, Patchogue, Long Island, NY, Wellesley, MA, and Dorchester, MA. She left the community in 1966 and taught in the Randolph, MA. school system until her retirement in 1982. She enjoyed her life in retirement in Limerick, Maine until 2007, when she moved to Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley until her death.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:30a.m. in St. Mary’s Church of Holliston on Washington St. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Elizabeth Seton Residence, 125 Oakland Street Wellesley, MA.
