Elaine Claire Wright, 76, of Millis, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 26, 2022, surrounded by those who loved her most. She was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother.

Born in Mojave, California and raised in West Hempstead, New York, she was the daughter of the late Roslyn (Gettleman) and Alan Jacobs and eldest sibling to her brothers, Andy and Leon.

Elaine moved to Boston, MA where she attended Northeastern University and obtained a degree in Education. She was a teacher before opening up the successful recruiting business, Wright Associates, in both Medfield and Millis.

Elaine was having mechanical issues with her MG, when she stumbled upon a local repair shop (Foreign Car Repairs) and met the owner, Thomas “Scotty” Wright, who would later become her husband of 37 years. Elaine also was an incredible mother to her two sons, Evan and David.  As a family, they loved traveling and spending time on their boat in Cape Cod.

Elaine is survived by husband, Thomas “Scotty” Wright; brother, Leon and wife Chatarina; brother, Andy and wife Marge; son Evan and wife Jessica Wright; son David and wife Abby Wright; grandchildren Hailey, Matthew, Emaline, Jonathan, George; and friend, Susie.

A graveside service will take place on Sunday, April 3rd at 11:30 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Millis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org). Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
