Edward William (Ted) Kohler, a resident of Holliston, died peacefully under his family’s care at home on February 17, 2015.

Ted was the son of Ethel Lingham Kohler and William Edward Henry Kohler of Framingham and Barnstable, MA. Born and raised in Framingham and a graduate of Framingham High School’s class of 1949, he joined the Marine Corps in 1951 and served in Korea until 1955. He worked with Rocheford Construction and Carlson Construction for many years. Ted was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, a committed photographer and photo captioner, and knew how to have a good time. He loved both travel and working in his yard and was devoted to his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 51 years; son Edward of Cambridge, MA; son and daughter-in-law Clarke and Gina of Los Angeles, CA; and granddaughter Lily Elena Chin-Tsuei of New York, NY. He was the brother of Beverly Kohler Hollis and her husband Raymond of Sanbornville, NH and New Hill, NC; sister-in-law Cora Sleighter Stackelberg and her husband Olaf of Castleton-on-Hudson, NY; and many nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and luncheon at the Thayer Homestead, 2B Oak Street, Medway, MA, on March 21, 2015 at 11:30am. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
