Edward Vincent Hicks Jr., 77, of Holliston, passed away Monday, March 17, 2020 at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Eula (Allen) and Edward Vincent Hicks Sr. He was the wife of Sharon (Foster) Hicks of Holliston for 39 years.

Ed grew up in Ashland, and was known by friends, family and neighbors to always be willing to lend a hand. He was generous in sharing his time and expertise as a master electrician, whether it was helping others with their projects or working on his home with his wife Sharon. He was dedicated to his work, and his family, which came through in all that he did and the love he received from his family and community.

In addition to owning and operating Hicks Electric for 23 years, and serving as an Electrical Inspector, Ed also found the time to serve on the Keefe Regional Technical School Program Advisory Board, helping prepare students for technical and vocational careers.

Besides his wife, Ed is survived by his six children and 9 grandchildren and relatives including Deana Hicks of FL, Ed Hicks III, his wife Jill and their children Jacob & Madelyn of TX, Richard, his wife Jennifer and their children Ella, Truman & Landon of TX, Tracey Tarkiainen, her husband Erik and their children Ashley Scanlon and her husband Garrett & Kyle of CA, Keith Lindfelt, his wife Shellie and their children Madison & Carter of IN, Scott Lindfelt of Natick, his sisters Sharyn Weir, Julie Wronski, Jodie Crete and brother Robin Hicks.
