Edward A. Tynan Jr., 84, of Franklin and formerly of Holliston, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018. He was the son of the late Blanche (Budris) and Edward A. Tynan Sr. He was the husband of 59 years to his devoted wife, Constance (Washburn) Tynan of Franklin.
Born and raised in Hyde Park, MA, Ed was active in high school basketball, where he played at the Boston Garden during the Championships. He was an Army Veteran, member of Teamster Union 494, a shop steward, and an avid golfer. He had been employed by Wonder Bread for 38 years as a route salesman. After retiring, he worked at Pinecrest Golf Course for 11 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Holliston and was a former member of the Hyde Park Masonic Lodge.
Besides his wife, Ed is survived by five children, Tracy Tynan and his wife, Laura of Herndon, VA, Cheryl Crivello and her husband, Richard of Millville, Nancy Evanko and her husband, Patrick of Hampton,VA, Lisa Davis and her husband, Peter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Glen Tynan and his wife, Michelle of Grafton. He also leaves behind his siblings, Pamela Curley of Sudbury, Anne Marie Cirace and her husband, Jeffrey of Stoneham, and Peter Tynan and his wife, Tricia of Huntington Beach, CA; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4th from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
