She was my Grandmother who I loved very much. I visited her and my Grandfather in Florida and she was so good to my Grandfather. He loved her very much. I last saw her 3 years ago at the nursing home where I saw how much she was loved by the residents and staff. She was only our Grandmother for a short time but she made a difference with the love she shared with me and my father and 5 brothers and sisters. Her husband, Howard Cyr, died in 1989 not 1984. Love, Eddie Cyr

I remember the first time I met Doris when she came north from Kentucky. She wanted to take a bunch of us cousins to the movies and asked us “Do y’all want to go with me?” Of course, being kids, we teased her about “y’all”. Doris could not bear to leave any one out, so she looked at each of us individually and asked “Do you, and you, and you, and you want to go to the movies with me?” That was Doris, always thoughtful of every single person she met, no one was a stranger to her. I don’t think I have ever know a more caring and humble person. We will miss you, Doris May.
