Milford – Doris M. Nelson, 89, died December 13, 2002.
She was the wife of Malcolm J. Nelson.
Born in Saco, Maine she was the daughter of the late Fabian and Gertrude (Carle)
Provencal.
She was a licensed practical nurse and had worked for Harvard Medical Research and the
Deaconess Hospital. Mrs. Nelson had retired to Osmond Beach, Florida for several years.
Beside her husband she is survived by her daughter Beverly Murphy and her husband
William of Sherborn, a grandson Eric Sean Murphy of Boston and many nieces and
nephews. Mrs. Nelson was predeceased by six sisters; Irene Langevin, Helen Henderson,
Phyllis Pendleton, Evelyn Gillespie, Marion Gregoire and Eleanor Macksit.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday Dec. 16th at 11:30 a.m. at St.
Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery in
West Roxbury. A calling hour will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston.
