Dena J. Papasadero, 84, of Holliston, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Avery Manor in Needham. Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Nalalina (Caia) and Sebastiano Floridia. She was the wife of the late Dominic J. Papasadero.

Dena worked as an office secretary for the Holliston School system for 22 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Choir in Holliston and St. Francis Cabrini in Spring Hill, FL. She retired to Florida and enjoyed substitute teaching as well as volunteering at many places, especially St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Spring Hill, FL.

She is survived by her children, Michael J. Papasadero, Donna Lanni and her husband David of Ashland, Carol Jessop of Plymouth, Susan Hamel and her husband Kenneth Walsh of Lowell; 2 siblings, Theresa Pirrello of Sudbury, and Mario Floridia and his wife Kathy of Florida. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Bruce “BJ” Maeder, Brian Maeder and his wife Jessica, Matthew Jessop and Juliane Jessop; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her identical twin, Elina Blais and her brother, Salvitore Floridia.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 5:30-8:00p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
