Deirdre Catherine Nauss, 55, of Ashland, passed away January 1, 2013. Born in Dublin, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Jordan) and Patrick Halley. She was the wife of Jeffrey L. Nauss of Ashland.

A water aerobics instructor and a fitness instructor in various ways over twenty years, Deirdre had also been active in St. Mary’s Church of Holliston with their Folk Group and loved singing and playing her guitar.

Dee was a very vivacious person and was loved by all who knew her.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Shelley Nauss of Houston, TX, and David Nauss who is attending Oregon State University. She also leaves behind three siblings, Therese Phillips of Dublin, Ireland, Helen McGeehan of Bournemouth, UK, and Graham Halley of County Kildare, Ireland.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 126) A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 1:00 pm in St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will take place at a later date in Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
