FRAMINGHAM, MA –

David Alan Moore, 64, of Framingham, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from cardiac arrest. He was born on June 27, 1953 in Belfonte, PA, the beloved son of Norma (Davidson) Moore and the late Jesse Ad Moore.

David was a brilliant man of many talents. His thirst for knowledge earned him a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Salem State University and a master’s in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University, which he used extensively in hospital and rehab settings. For a number of years, he had a private practice with an emphasis on stress management and psychogenic illnesses. He also was as a clinical hypnotist.

As a certified comprehensive life coach, his business “Moore Success: customized coaching,” improved and enriched the lives of his numerous life-coach clients. His other business the “Sewing Sorcerer” allowed him to use the many sewing skills he learned at a young age from his very talented mother, Norma.

David was also an Origami Master, delighting in creating very intricate pieces, which he gave away as gifts. He shared this talent in workshops, inspiring people of all ages.

David was loved and admired by those who knew him, and is survived by his mother, Norma Moore of Winona, MN, his sister, Ruby K. Moore and her husband, Richard Toscano of Saint Simon’s Island, GA; his brother The Rev. Richard Moore and his wife, Laurie Rae Moore of Winona, MN. He also leaves behind his longtime friend and former wife, Loretta Cerullo Larraga and her husband and David’s friend, Richard of Dedham, MA; beloved nieces Kristen Howe of New Braintree; Rachael Moore Nehring and her husband, Steve of Winona, MN; Johanna Moore of Kirksville, MO; Jayme Ulbin and her husband Matt, of Voorhees, NJ; and Aerin Parish-Toscano of Melrose, MA; as well as his great nephews Oliver Nehring and Louie Hines, and great nieces Natalia and Aleyah Ulbin; his aunt Jane Becker of West Chester, OH; cousins Denise Becker of West Chester, OH, Philipp Becker and his wife Tona of Madison, MS, and their children Philipp, Shea, Jenna and Christopher; and Jill Becker Goeseke and her husband Frank of West Chester, OH, and their daughter, Jessica;  the Cerullo family, whom he affectionately called “the Italian herd;” his longtime friend, Marcy Levington of Newton, MA; his close friend and housemate Terry Rasmussen of Framingham, MA; and many dear friends and life-coach clients. He is predeceased by his grandparents Olga and Eero Walkama, Ruby and Urban Masson, and Jesse Lee Moore, and uncle Philipp Becker.
