David Kessler, 57, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from complications after recent surgery. Born in Huntington, New York, he was the son of Janet Kessler of New York and the late Arthur Kessler.
David was a licensed mental health counselor with a talent for working with teens on the spectrum. He enjoyed hiking, playing guitar, reading, and researching new therapeutic modalities, such as Family Systems Theory. Despite his reserved nature, his quiet but quick sense of humor and insight allowed him to connect with all types of people.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his siblings, Janet McTarnaghan and her husband Daniel of Swansea, Barbara Kessler and her husband, Philip of Hopkinton, and Juli Donlon and her husband Frank of Long Island NY. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Christian McTarnaghan, Danielle, Ryan, and Frank Donlon, and Emilia and Elaina Antoniades.
Private family services are being held and are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton.
