Holliston-

Darrel E. Hamlet, 76, of Holliston, lost his battle with cancer surrounded
by family and friends on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Born in Framingham, he
was the son of Catherine (Demers) and Edwin Hamlet of Holliston. He was the
husband of Annette M. (LaRosee) Hamlet of Holliston.

Darrel was the owner of Hamlet and Son Painting for over 50 years. He was
a member of the American Legion, the Marine Corp League in Natick, and St.
Michael’s Episcopal Church.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by three children, Maureen Hart and her
husband Lon of Hopkinton, Darrel J. Hamlet and his wife Camille of Upton,
Michael Hamlet and his wife Patrizia of Milford; 2 step-children, Diane
Fraser of Jamaica Plain, Donna Larkin and her husband Ted of Norfolk; two
siblings; Shirley Chipman of Holliston and Edwin Hamlet and his wife Susan
of Ohio. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews.

Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 4-8p.m. at
St. Michael”s Episcopal Church in Holliston. A memorial service will take
place on Wednesday at 10:00a.m. in St. Michael”s Church. A Military interment ceremony will follow at 1:15 p.m. in Bourne National Cemetery, Bourne MA. Everyone is welcome to attend. Gathering and refreshments will take place at 4pm at St. Michael’s Church.
