Holliston-
Corrine A. Sberna, 87, of Holliston, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Filomena (Savignano) and Leonardo Mastropieri. She was the wife of the late Lloyd Sberna who passed in 1983.

Originally from Newton Upper Falls, Corrine had been a Holliston resident since 1957; up until three years ago when she became a resident of the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home in Natick. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Holliston and was a supporter of local Animal Shelters. Corrine and her daughter Cheryl were avid tennis players and together enjoyed playing at the Chamberlain Pines Tennis Club in Holliston many years ago.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Lewis and her husband Peter of Holliston; a brother, Robert Mastropieri and his wife Arlene of Worcester; a granddaughter, Alexandra Lewis as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by six siblings.

A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 12:00p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Holliston. On Saturday, June 1st at 5pm a mass will be said in her memory.
