Christopher R. Cobb

July 24, 1963 - August 6, 2012

Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

Dear Pam, Henry and Audrey, We just today heard of your devastating loss of your wonderful husband and fun and loving dad, Chris. We are so sorry. It has been probably 10 years since we have been in touch since Jack and Henry were a daily playdate and running around your yard in the sun and rain--some of our most favorite memories. Your family provided so much fun and love for us during those early years of babies and toddlers. Your dad was very special and now I see his dedication to the annual PMC which was incredible. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and we send our deepest condolences. With sympathy, the Duffy family

To the Cobb Family, Pam and Family, I only recently read about Chris' passing. I met Chris when I first moved to Sherborn over 25 years ago. I enjoyed playing softball and basketball with him. I remember him fondly. Jeff Cassis

To the family of Chris Cobb, Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. It is obvious that he was a particularly outstanding person. I have found great comfort in the promises given in the Bible. The promise of a resurrection to a paradise earth. Living forever on earth was a prospect for mankind when they were first created.(Genesis 2:16,17). Isaiah 55:11 makes clear that whatever God purposes will have certain success. He planted mankind in a paradise earth & we can have confidence that we will see your Chris restored to life. Until that time may you have comfort in the words of Revelation 21:3,4. warmly, Joanne Cowles

Pam and family, Pam - I will always remember Chris from our St. Michael's days. He was one of the kindest, sweetest guys on campus. He had a perpetual twinkle in his eye and an infectious smile. Dear Pam and family, Even though we have been away from EBC for almost 4 years, we have been uplifting Chris in prayer continually through his fight with Cancer. We were so sorry to hear about Chris's passing. We enjoyed being with you all on Sunday mornings for so many years. We continue to lift you and your family up in prayer. We pray that God will be with you during this difficult time and bless you with his love and strength. We miss you very much. Gerry remembers the first time he met you when he was building a subdivision. He said you were the nicest abutters and knew you were good people right away, then we were blessed to get to know you through EBC. Love, Marianne and Gerry Lorusso

Chris was one of a close group of friends from St. Michael's College, in Colchester Vt. At St. Mike's Chris met his wife Pam, and established a lifelong bond with the rest of us. Chris was a great friend and a great man. He was better than you at everything- skiing, basketball, tennis, running, anything athletic, but he never made you feel second best. I will always remember his smile and his laugh. We are lucky to have known him.

I did not know Chris, but when I saw his amazing smile and face,I was totally saddened.I asked the lord why did he have to take away this bright burning candle of a person. The lord now has another person by his side and will take care of him forever. In time,I hope peace and happiness be restored to his family.

I have known Chris since elementary school. After marriage, my husband Lars had the pleasure of doing business with Chris and Steve. What can I say that has not already been said? Who didn't love Chris Cobb? Great kid, great man! He will truly be missed. Please take care of yourselves Cobb Family!

Dear Cobb Family, I can hear and see Chris in the words of my classmates. He truly was the best of us, and I am saddened by your loss. He was a born leader. My enduring memory of Chris is that when he was a team captain picking players off the playground, he was always more concerned about making sure that the kids that usually got picked last actually didn't! He was a kind, generous and gentle soul. To the Cobb family, When I was an underclassman at DS, I admired Chris for being a humble, helpful and friendly person. I was fortunate to see Chris in late April after 20+ years. He was the same person. May your family find strength in and carry on those legacies. Ted Murphy

Chris Cobb was a good friend and one of those rare persons who provided proof of the existence of God and His love. In Chris, you saw God’s ability to listen, care and forgive. Chris always spoke of the love he had for Pam, Henry and Audrey and how proud he was of of all of them. Chris reflected God’s love, mercy and tenderness. I will miss his extraordinary ability to listen, his constant sense of humor and laughter, his example as a fierce competitor in all things athletic; I am deeply humbled, thankful and blessed to have met and known this good man, to have witnessed his example as a father and husband. I hope that our prayers comfort Pam, Henry, Audrey and Chris’ Parents and family and am confident he goes before us to make a place for us.
