Ashland and formerly Mashpee-

Charlotte M. Boccuzzi, 83, most recently of Ashland and formerly of Mashpee on Cape Cod, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Fitzpatrick) and John Malone and was the beloved wife of 62 years to Robert A. Boccuzzi of Ashland.

After spending many years in Dedham raising her children, she moved to where her heart always was, by the beaches of Cape Cod. She always loved to walk, whether it be on beaches or sidewalks or anywhere she could. She was instrumental in constructing a Davisville road sidewalk in Falmouth so people could walk safely to the beach. She also loved to garden, always the expert on which flowers, trees, and shrubs would do well and where. It wasn’t a proper visit from her without grabbing a shovel and moving a plant to a better location. Her passions also extended to the kitchen, where she spent years making people happy through cooking and baking. From “Spam-boats” she used to make for her children (until she found out they weren’t healthy!) to her famous bread recipes that her daughter-in-law still makes and passes out to the neighbors from time to time, she loved to give people joy and comfort through producing something extraordinary from the kitchen.

In addition to her husband, Charlotte is survived by three children, Robert A. Boccuzzi Jr. of Sandwich, Lisa M. Peachey, and her husband, Dene of Mashpee, and Richard M. Boccuzzi and his wife, Charlotte of Ashland. She also leaves behind three sisters, Mary Kennes and her husband, Francis of Walpole, Dorothy Malone of Franklin, and Kathy Malone of Clarksville, GA; 6 grandchildren, Christopher, Gina, Nicholas, Anna, Haley and Samantha Boccuzzi; and two grand-dogs, Sprout and Luna. She is predeceased by her sister, Carol Malone.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will be held with family on Friday at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Due to fragrance sensitivities, it is kindly asked that you do not wear any fragrances.
