Hopkinton – Catherine V. Bowman, 76, died Monday, February 28, 2005 at the MetroWest Hospital in Framingham following a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Harold A. Bowman.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Durant) Fair. Mrs. Bowman was retired from Cushing Hospital in Framingham after 35 years of service. She had managed the hospital gift shop and been a nurse’s aide.

Mrs. Bowman is survived by her sons, David Bowman and John Bowman, both of Hopkinton, Ronald Bowman and his wife Nancy of Whitinsville; a daughter, Patricia Duty of Hopkinton; brothers, Raymond Fair of Hopkinton and Joseph Fair of Dewey, Arizona; sisters, Helen Cady of Hopkinton and Virginia Bamforth of Titusville, FL; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 4 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St., Hopkinton. Burial will follow in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Hopkinton.

Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, will be Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
