To Chip's Family and friends, I grew up with Chip and my family has worked with him for decades. I called him, "Mr. Hopkinton". Wherever, I ran into him, the High Acres office, Post Office, Price Chopper, the compost facility- he ALWAYS had a SMILE and we'd have many discussions about his family. He was very proud of all of you. He always said how he had better get home for dinner or to go camping...it always had something to do with his family and he knew he'd be in "trouble" because he was running late! He always said that with a twinkle in his eyes. He sure could tell a story and he always kept me laughing, with the way in which he told them. He was REAL, always told it like it was. Chip- I hope you're out on a big fishing boat, enjoying yourself and catching some trophy fish. Wishing Chip's family some solace in all the memories you have of Chip. He was always helping someone out, without looking for anything in return. I'm going to miss seeing him around town. Rest in peace, my friend. Gina DiCarlo-Melnick

I am absolutely in shock over Chips death. Our entire family loved him so much. He was the greatest person ever. He even called our mom, "mom". Just devastated. Praying for his family. This loss is too hard to even comprehend. We will miss him every day of our lives. Maryellen Petracca

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I only met him one or two times. But, I know he was a very nice man and I know he was well loved. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
