McSkimming-Beverly Jo McGreevy, 71, died peacefully on January 10, 2007 in Westborough, MA. Beverly died from complications of a stroke suffered in October, 2005. Born in Springfield, MO, Beverly attended Drury College and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She spent her adult life in St. Louis, MO, where she taught at the elementary level in the Hazelwood and St. Louis Public School systems for 43 years.

She is pre deceased by her loving parents Inez Sadler and William McGreevy and her former husband, John William McSkimming. She spent the last six years of her life near her children in New England where she loved to spend summers in Maine and on the beaches of Long Island with her grandchildren. She is survived by daughters Meghan McSkimming Handrahan of Hopkinton, MA, Molly McSkimming Bianco of Bronxville, NY, son Jack McSkimming of Las Vegas, NV, two son-in-laws, John Handrahan, Tom Bianco and two beloved grandchildren, Olivia Handrahan and Nicholas Bianco. She also leaves special nieces, nephews and cousins.

A family service will be held at St. Matthews in Southborough, MA on January 15, 2007. An educator for four decades, Beverly taught hundreds of children to read ?this was her passion. Those wishing to remember Beverly are asked to make a donation to the Reach Out and Read Gateway Coalition. A partnership program with Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center., who last year provided 54,000 at risk children with more than 105,000 books.
