Holliston-

Bertha Mendez, 91, of Holliston, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Katherine (Bock) and Joseph Nutter. She was the wife of the late Jesus Mendez.

A 1948 graduate of Holliston High School, Bertha went on to Burdett Secretarial School in Boston. She worked at Fenwall Inc. in Ashland for many years. Bertha was musically talented and took pleasure in playing the piano. She especially enjoyed entertaining her Mission Springs Community.

She leaves behind her step-children, Jenny Mendez Isenburg, Augustin Mendez, Marta Mendez, Margarita Mendez, Miriam Rodriguez, Minerva Mendez, Marcos Mendez, Melvin Mendez and Magdalena Mendez Jones. She also leaves behind many step-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her step-son, Manny Mendez.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Lake View Cemetery in Wayland. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
