Newbury – Bernadine F. Murphy, 78, died October 26, 2005.
She was the wife of the late William Murphy who died in 1989.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary
(Clougherty) Ashman.
A resident of Holliston from 1966 – 1992, she had been an active member of
St. Mary’s Church and had been a CCD teacher. Mrs. Murphy had been an
administrative assistant for the telephone company in Framingham and then in
Marlborough.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Murphy and his wife Valerie of Newbury,
Christopher Murphy and his wife Kate Anastasia of Gloucester, William Murphy
and his partner Lam Duc Kim of NY, NY, James Murphy of Holliston and Paul
Murphy and his wife Sue of Holliston; daughters, Marie Murphy of Newbury,
Bernadette Murphy and her spouse, Deborah Putnam of Roslindale, Anne Murphy
and her husband Marc Arnell of Holden and Kathleen Murphy and her husband
John Brown of Topsfield.: sister Patricia
Ashman; grandchildren, Christine, Emily, Colleen, Michael, Christine, Sean,
Erin, Liam, Clare, Patrick, Lizzie, Shannen, Lauren, Kevin and Connor. She
was the sister of the late Marie Hogan, Eleanor Rice and brothers, Francis and John.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 29, at 10:00
a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s
Cemetery.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington ST., Route 16,
