WESTBOROUGH — Benjamin S. DeFazio, 91, of Westborough and formerly of Holliston, died Friday, March 17, 2006 at his home. Born in NY he was the son of the late Sylvester and Maria DeFazio. He is the husband of Helen T. DeFazio of Westborough.

A Westborough resident for the past 7 and a half years and a prior resident of Holliston for many years, Benjamin was a WW II Army Veteran and was part of the 80th Tank Battalion. He was also a member of the Holliston VFW. Mr. DeFazio had been a professor for 14 years at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. He also worked as a clothing engineer for the Navy for 37 years. During his work he helped design astronauts clothing for the first space missions.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Teresa M. Wroten and her husband Christopher of Medway and 1 grandchild Eric Wroten of Plainville.

A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday March 21, 2006 at 10:00 am in Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
