Holliston – Barbara J. Hayes, 35, died unexpectedly Wed., Jan. 1, 2003 at her home.
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late William and Harriette (Macuen) Hayes.
She was a lifelong resident of Holliston. Miss Hayes worked in retail sales and had formerly been a receptionist for St. Mary’s Church in Holliston, enjoyed following the Red Sox and concerts. She enjoyed life, her family and friends.
She is survived by a son; Lucas, brothers; William Hayes of Portland, Oregon, Thomas Hayes and his wife Julie of Brewster, MA, Dennis Hayes and his wife Joan of Chelsea, MI, Kevin Hayes and his wife Sandy of Holliston, sister; Katherine Buford and her husband Ron of York, ME, an aunt; Winifred Hayes of Holliston and 13 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her aunt Mary Hayes for whom Barbara had been caregiver.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston on Monday, Jan. 6 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston will be Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
