Holliston-

Barbara Ann RossiniHolliston, MA: a wonderful woman with a loving heart and gentle soul passed away peacefully Sunday, November 4, 2018.  She was 89 years old.  Born in Framingham and raised in Ashland, she was the daughter of the late Adeline (McDonald) and Willard Fiske.  She was the wife of 60 years to the late John “Sonny” Rossini with whom she built an amazing story with in the special town of Holliston.

Barbara was lovingly known as “Ma” and “Gram” to her six children and twenty-five grandchildren great grandchildren. She spent many mornings enjoying her walks around the mall and Holliston Trail with several close friends including Richard Seymour.  Her welcoming smile was a breath of fresh air to anyone who was lucky enough to have experienced it.

She is survived by her children: Jack Rossini of Medway and his former wife, Nancy Monts of Mendon, Mike Rossini and wife, Linda of Holliston, Joe Rossini and wife, Jacqui of Holliston, Jim Rossini and wife, Cheri of Medway, Lynn Rossini and her partner,Wayne Johnson of Medway, and Ken Rossini of Holliston; 11 grandchildren: Keryn, Peter, Amy, Brian, Timothy, Scott, Julia, Nicole, TomJillian, and Anthony; 13 great-grandchildren: Savannah, Emma, Christopher, Ryan, Tommy, Austin, Gabriella, Mason, Redford, Cora, Tommy, Niko, and Alayna.  Barbara is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Donald Fiske and grandson Nicholas Rossini.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
