COVENTRY, R.I. — Aubrey Lincoln Smith, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Rhode Island.

He was the husband of Frances (Greenwood) Smith.

He had a great interest in antique cars and was a nurse for 25 years at Medfield State Hospital.

He leaves his daughters, Audrey Blair of Florida, Dorothy Linda Maus of Shrewsbury and Thomas Smith of Florida; siblings, Rosalie Charnley of Falmouth and Roger Smith of Ashland. He and his wife were surrogate parents of their grandson, Philip Smith, and had seven other grandchildren.

A family memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at 12:30 p.m, at Chesmore Funeral Home, Holliston.

There will be no calling hours.

A burial service will be held in April at Old Burial Grounds, Framingham Center.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
