Arthur J. Farnsworth, 89, of Holliston, passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, November 11, 2023. A lifelong resident of Holliston, he was the son of the late Doris M. (Peterson) and Arthur W. Farnsworth. He was the husband of 30 years to the late Marlene (Kelley) Farnsworth.  

Arthur was a Navy Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Antietam aircraft carrier where he repaired aircraft. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. 

He was a well-respected carpenter in town and contributed to numerous construction projects over his 40+ year career.

A loving father and grandfather, Arthur is survived by two sons, Arthur K. Farnsworth Sr and his wife Dolly and David Farnsworth all of Holliston; two grandchildren Arthur K. Farnsworth Jr and Atalie E. Farnsworth; sister-in-law, Jean Kelley. He is predeceased by his sisters Melba, Betty Anna and Audrey.   

A private graveside service will be held at Lake Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
