Holliston-

Ann M. Murphy, 92, of Holliston, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Downey) and Daniel Flynn. She was the wife of the late John P. Murphy who passed away in 1993.

Upon her retirement, Ann had worked at the Holliston Town Hall in the tax office. She had been a member of St. Mary’s Women’s Guild and the Holliston Food Pantry.

She is survived by her step-son, John Murphy and his wife Barbara of Plainville; 3 grandchildren, Sean Murphy and his wife Kim, Brian Murphy and his wife Julia, and Kara Gallagher and her husband Aaron; one great-grandchild, Myles Gallagher, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Daniel Flynn Jr., Joseph Flynn, and Margaret Beggan.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7th from 4:00-7:00p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 8th at 11:00a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holliston Food Pantry, 23 Water St. Holliston, MA 01745 or to St. Mary’s Church, 8 Church St. Holliston, MA 01746.
