Hopkinton- Andrea D. Goncalves, 17, of Hopkinton, died Sunday, March 26, along with her brother, Joshua D. Goncalves 10, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Malden she was the daughter of Marcus V. and Carla (Davalos) Goncalves of Hopkinton.

Andrea a Junior at Hopkinton High School, enjoyed swimming, soccer, and tennis. She was a member of the Diversity Club, Bible Study and was active in the church with the Teen Ministry and also sang in the church choir. She was an honor student and served orphans in Jamaica for a couple of weeks. She was looking forward to attending Boston University after graduating.

Besides her parents, she leaves her paternal grandparents, Mario and Maria Goncalves of Brazil, her maternal grandparents, Fernando and Maria Davalos of Peabody, and a brother, Samir N. Goncalves of Hopkinton. She is also survived by her uncles, Louis, Victor, Keith, Juan, Marcus, and Robinson, her aunts, Jessica, Maria, Rosa, Patricia, Gabriella, Valeria, and Raenel. She also leaves many cousins.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, March 30, from 3pm-8pm at the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton, 146 East Main St. (Rt. 135 near the Ashland Line) in Hopkinton. A funeral service will be held at the Congregational Church on Friday, March 31, at 2pm with the Reverend Mike Van Auken from the Boston Church of Christ. There will be no cemetery.
