Allan R. Pratt, age 79, passed away on November 4, 2016 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. Allan was the first born of seven children to Russell and Marie Pratt in Spokane, Washington.

He attended Hutton Elementary and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1955 before serving in the U.S. Army in New Mexico and later obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. In 1957 Allan married Carol Allen and had a son, Kenneth Pratt.
Throughout his career, Allan worked in property management and purchase in Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, Decatur, Houston, Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area finishing his career in 2016 as an Australian hat salesman in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Allan had an inquisitive mind and liked to read and travel. His favorite city in the world was Istanbul. He was an avid golfer and a Houston Oilers fan. Allan and his friend, Luis Belmonte are credited with purchasing and saving the Clark House at Hayden Lake, Idaho, where the older Pratt brothers spent many summers during their childhood.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Douglas and Larry, and his first wife, Carol. He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Wendy) of Downingtown, PA and his beloved grandchildren Anna, Meghan, Katherine and Nathan, his ex-wife Beverly (Lynn) Braden, Montgomery, TX, his step-daughter Kim (Mike) Gray Montgomery, TX , his sister-in-law, Kathy, Yakima, WA, his brothers Richard (Vickie), Prescott AZ, Russell (Debby), Englewood, CO, Stephen (Bonnie), Stockton, CA and his sister, Angie, San Francisco, CA and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Lydia Taft House, with special appreciation for his caregiver and friend, Claudia Vanderpool. Funeral services are private. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
