Alfred David Thistle, 86, a longtime resident of Holliston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Blaire House in Milford. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late, Julia (Shippee) and Frederick Thistle. He was the loving husband of Carol M. (Ouellet) Thistle of Holliston.

An Army Veteran of WWII and served in the Korean War where he was wounded. Alfred was a member of the D.A.V. and had been a painting contractor in Holliston for 40 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Donna, Debra, David and Daryl; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Derek and 2 great-grandchildren, Luke and Kyra.
