Alexander S. James, 89, of Holliston, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at his home with family by his side. Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Tebbe) and Alexander S. James Sr. He was the husband to the late Gertrude (Haskell) James who passed away in 1985.

He is survived by his son, Richard W. James of Franklin and his daughter, Sharon E. James of Holliston. He also leaves 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

At the family’s request, there will be no funeral home visitation hours. A funeral service will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 1162 Highland St. Holliston, on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11:30a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
