Albert Arnold Lundwall, of Holliston, Massachusetts, passed away on April 2, 2023 after a courageous battle with a debilitating illness.  He was surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 2, 1944, Arnold was raised in Coventry, Rhode Island and graduated from Dartmouth College and earned his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School.  He practiced law as a partner of the law firm Locke, Fullerton & Lundwall in Wellesley, Massachusetts.  He also taught estate planning courses at Bentley College during his four-decade career.  He served as an elected member of the Holliston Planning Board and was a member of the Lions Club.  He enjoyed many years as a coach for youth sports for his daughter and son.  He and his wife Jacqueline were members of the First Congregational Church in Holliston.

Arnold and Jacque cherished spending time with loved ones.  He and his family often visited relatives in Rhode Island and Connecticut.  Arnold and Jacque spent much time in their Florida home during his retirement and truly enjoyed hosting visits from their children, grandchildren, siblings, cousins, niece, and close friends.  He and Jacque also enjoyed traveling to France, Italy, and Spain with dear friends and relatives.

Arnold was incredibly generous with his time as he often engaged in volunteer activities for the town and community.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor in need.  He put his relationships with family and friends first and always did his best to promote their well-being and success. He had a great sense of humor and the best smile.

Arnold was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Potter Brownell and father, William S. Brownell.  Dying in action in World War II, Arnold’s biological father, Albert Arnold (Ted) Lundwall, never met his son.  Arnold spent much time with his beloved aunt Helen and uncle Wilfred Benoit and their family in Connecticut.  Arnold, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Jacqueline (L’Ecuyer) Lundwall; his son Arnold David Lundwall and his spouse Kelly Denise Mullen of Webster, Massachusetts; and his daughter Kathryn Lundwall Alessi and her husband Robert Alan Alessi of Wellesley, Massachusetts.  Arnold’s cherished grandchildren are Savannah Claire Lundwall, Alexander Maceo Alessi, and Riley Maeve Alessi.  Arnold’s siblings are Kathleen Trzepacz of Medway, Massachusetts and Karen Allen of Redmond, Washington.  Arnold was also very close with his sisters-in-law, Jeanne Allen, Joanne Izzo, and Joyce Holmes.  Arnold and Jacque loved spending time with all of them and their husbands over the years.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the First Congregational Church of Holliston at 725 Washington Street, Holliston, Massachusetts.  An informal reception at the church will follow the service. Arrangements are under the care of Chesmore Funeral Home.
