Alan G. Dowen, 58, of Montana, died unexpectedly December 8, 2009. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Glen R. Dowen and the late Katherine T. Dowen.

Alan graduated from Framingham South in 1969 and graduated Wentworth Institute in 1971. He worked a few years in the Framingham area as a 1st class machinist. He moved to Montana and worked for Flathead Janitorial for 19 years. He was an active member of the Calvary Chapel in Montana.

Besides his father, he is survived by 2 sisters, Cynthia Dowen and Dianne Chislett and her husband James both of Framingham; 3 step-brothers, Paul, James and Andrew McCall as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his step-mother, Irene Dowen.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on February 11, 2010 in the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 – 11 am. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of ones’ own choice.
