Holliston

Wayne Michael Swantak, 62, of Holliston died unexpectedly on Monday November 8, 2004. Born in Stamford, NY he is the son of Lila May (Haynes) Swantak of South Kortright, NY and the late Michael C. Swantak. He is also the husband of 21 years to Audrey M. (Vail) Swantak of Holliston.

Wayne was an Army veteran who enlisted in 1966 for the Vietnam War and then was transferred to the Army Natick Lab in 1968 as an army food specialist and he remained there for 36 years. He was also a graduate of the University of Georgia.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by 2 daughters Andrea J. Scarbrough of Foxboro and Pamela A. Daley and her husband Paul of Plainville. 2 brothers; Richard J. Swantak of South Kortright, NY and Charles E. Swantak and his wife Karol of Binghamton, NY, 2 sisters; Maryanne Callan and her husband Lance of Stamford, NY, and Joan Damiano of Conklin, NY. 3 grandchildren McKenzie, Colby, and Matthew, and 9 step grandchildren; Tammy, Trina, Ashley, Brennan, Jessica, Courtney, Riley, Kevin, and Haley, and 4 step great grandchildren; Sean, Ryan, Adam and Emma and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2004 from 5 to 8 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 126) Holliston. His funeral will take place at St. Andrews Church, 3 Maple St., Framingham at 10:00 am on Friday November 12, 2004. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery of Holliston.
